Peter Hurley is a well known headshot photographer based in New York and Los Angeles. Just recently, he sat down to give a few tips on how to make better headshots.

When you’re talking about headshots, what really makes a difference in the outcome of the picture is how the subject looks. And I’m not talking about how much you airbrush them in Photoshop; I’m talking about how the person looks themselves. When someone’s face is the subject of the photo, then how they look at the camera matters a lot more.
