Nikon TW20 auto focus camera

This is my latest acquisition, a Nikon TW20 auto focus, 35mm film camera.  This is NOT a new model, but it is a Nikon.  If you've been a fan of photography for any length of time, (especially film photography) you already know the Nikon brand name is synonymous with great picture taking capability.  I found this camera at a thrift store last weekend.  The price was a budget busting $3.99.  As is my weekend custom, I'm finding that yard sales, thrift stores, and other such venues are yielding tremendous bargains. (Ebay is a Buyer's paradise right now if you don't mind buying used equipment).  Of  the 5 cameras I've purchased this way, only one has been a "lemon".  But, considering I paid only $2.99 for it, what did I really lose?

Turkish Mosque

This photo reminds me of my days in the Air Force.  I served in Adana Turkey, at Incirlik Air Force Base.  That was way back in 1975-'76, but I remember it like it was yesterday.  Like anywhere else, some of the  people I met were hospitable, kind and accepting of us American G.I.'s.  And, others were completely hostile because they hated Americans.
